Macewans Dinflow End Suction Centrifugal Pumps

The MacEwans Dinflow is an end suction centrifugal pump manufactured to the DIN EN 733 standard (formerly known as DIN 24255) – a spec engineers trust because it ensures consistent dimensions and interchangeability across brands. That means less hassle if you ever need to source a replacement or swap components down the track. Then there’s the back pull-out design. This means you can service the internals without touching the pump casing or disturbing the pipework around it. If downtime costs you money, that matters. Your maintenance team can get in, do the job and get out, with no need to re-plumb the system.

Built standard with a cast iron casing, 304 stainless steel impeller, and stainless steel shaft, the Dinflow is also available in a range of construction materials – including ductile iron, bronze, and stainless steel casings – so it can be configured to handle everything from clean water to more aggressive process liquids. Dinflow pumps can be supplied as bareshaft pump only, or baseplate-mounted complete with shaft coupling to a motor or engine.

Key Features:

  • DIN EN 733 compliant: Standardised dimensions for easy interchangeability and long-term parts availability.
  • Back pull-out design: Service the pump internals without disturbing the casing or pipework.
  • High flow and pressure capacity: Handles flows of up to 375 litres per second with a max head of 150 metres.
  • Flexible material options: Casing, impeller, and wear ring available in cast iron, stainless steel, bronze, or ductile (SG) iron.
  • Sealing choices to suit your process: Standard single mechanical seal, with packed gland and alternative mechanical seal options available.
  • Double shrouded impeller: The impeller is hydraulically balanced and positively driven by the shaft key. It’s locked in place between the shaft sleeve and the impeller nut.
  • Replaceable wear rings: Replaceable wear rings are fitted as standard to all casings, with back cover wear rings used on larger pumps.
  • Proven across industries: Suited to liquid transfer, irrigation, water treatment, and general industrial use.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a DIN centrifugal pump used for?
DIN centrifugal pumps like the Dinflow are used for general liquid transfer across a wide range of applications, including air conditioning, refrigeration, drainage, irrigation, factory water supply, petroleum products, water treatment, and wastewater and effluent handling.
What does "back pull-out design" mean on a centrifugal pump?
Back pull-out design means the pump’s internal components can be removed for servicing without disconnecting the pump casing or surrounding pipework. It’s a major time-saver for maintenance, since your team doesn’t need to break down the whole installation to inspect or replace parts.
Can the motor stay in place during servicing?
If a spacer coupling is fitted, the rotating element can be removed without moving the motor. This eliminates alignment issues when the pump is reassembled.
What's the difference between the Dinflow, Dinbloc, and Linebloc pumps?
All three are manufactured to the same DIN EN 733 standard, but they differ in configuration: the Dinflow is a bare shaft end suction pump, the Dinbloc is a close-coupled version, and the Linebloc is an in-line suction pump. The right choice depends on your installation space and drive arrangement
What materials is the Dinflow pump available in?
The standard build uses a cast iron casing, bronze impeller, and stainless steel shaft. For more demanding or corrosive applications, the casing can be upgraded to ductile (SG) iron, bronze, or stainless steel, with matching options for wear rings and impellers.
